Friday Feature: James Monks

James Monks earned his Real Estate License at the age of 20 and began his sales career in 1998 with Prudential in Claremont.  After becoming a nationally recognized Realtor, James chose to utilize his Bachelor of Science degree in Business along with his passion for helping others succeed by joining the leadership team of Prudential California Realty in Riverside.  Since becoming manager, James has successfully led the Riverside branch as the most productive office within the MRMLS, with nearly 20,000 closed transactions.
Last month, James was named the Inland Empire Regional Manager and is now responsible for the growth of all three of Prudential’s Inland Empireoffices.  “I am looking forward to my expanded roll from serving our agents and staff in Riverside to assisting the Rancho and Corona teams in growing their sales and sales associates,” said James.
Riverside Agents and staff recently celebrated a Grand Re-Opening of the office, which has been remodeled and now features state-of-the-art technology and updateddesign throughout the building. “The renovation was absolutely amazing!” James adds.  “We had a nice office before, but now we have the premiere real estate facility in the Inland Empire.  Clients and agents both have definitely been blown away!”  James continually helps Riverside agents to grow their business by customizing a business plan for each agent that is as unique as the individual clients they serve, while offering opportunities to adjust and improve the plan each week.  In addition, James recognizes that marketing is an important factor in agent’s growth.  “Our marketing department is the single best resource we have to offer our Realtors” he said.  “If an agent is here and is not utilizing their services, they are simply leaving tens of thousands of dollars of commissions on the table due to their lack of commitment.”  James is proud to call Riverside home and is heavily involved within the community, which is something he encourages for his agents as well.  Community connection is something James strives to help agents develop monthly to strengthen their business.
As for the future, James is optimistic for what lies ahead:  “This most recent announcement about our partnership with Berkshire Hathaway is very exciting.  The strength and stability of the Prudential name could only be equaled by a very select few global brands.  Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices represents everything our clients and agents need in our post financial crises economy.  We have made through one of the most difficult economic times in our history…and to come through it with the resources of Berkshire Hathaway awaiting us is amazing.”
